I used to watch more TV but after a few months I got fed up with it especially as a lot of the programme’s I watched have been changed or scrapped. My husband who looks after me watches every sport there is. I have started to sew again. The programme’s I like to watch are antiques, and factual, how things are made.

Or do you take it day by day? When I was first diagnosed I read all the things about PD, articles, stories, blogs and all things PD but now I just read things that interest me, I am 82 and I don’t think that there will be a big change possibly in my lifetime and as progression is not known I do things to stay reasonably healthy and live each day as it comes.

I really like the PD community that are members of Parkinson News, I have joined other Parkinson groups but they have turned out to want money which is OK but not e mails every day, Some drive you mad with everything is OK and their life is marvellous because they take whatever at $€£100s the product can be anything, these sights are just advertisements site’s.
Parkinson News is so good because you get a collection of news, products which normal people are watching, stories that are about the good and bad days and coping. Medication and it’s good and bad indications. I have done surveys and always say that my preferred news informer for all things Parkinson is Parkinson’s News and long may you be here for us.

No I haven’t had covid but I have a good friend who has had it, this was before being vaccinated, very very bad experience,

Doesn’t bother me at all, at least it signifies your body has something wrong with it and may be people will have more understanding.

Have used for eighteen months for anxiety and for sleep, it worked for me, I was very bad tempered was upsetting everyone. It took about three weeks to help. My husband and friends commented that I was not so uptight. I was sleeping better and some of the pain was in check. Not using it at the moment because I ran out but going to replenish and start taking again,
I used oil under tongue 5%, six drops in morning and six drops half an hour before bedtime.
All you can do is try it and see if it works for you. -

Hi Ally,
I live in Spain and until I was diagnosed with Parkinsons’s I never really felt the heat like I do now, it must be the medication. The way I try to keep cool is use shutters on windows. have one of those personal square box fans, wear cotton as much as possible. Do cooking early or late when it’s cooler. We have ceiling fans but don’t have air conditioning. -
Yes I have very weird dreams that can be scary, and some times related to what I have been reading or watching. Have just started to take Mannitol so hope it does the same for me. Thank you.

I have been reading a lot about Mannitol and it seems to work for some people so I am going to give it a try, I have ordered some from Amazon and it should be here tomorrow,
Will let you know how I get on. -
I permanently have bruises that I have no idea where they came from, my hands seem also to have bruises and cuts on them, I still do a lot of cooking and seem to bang them a lot.

I find stress now makes me really not able to cope, I never had any trouble with stressful situations before, I worked in the travel business which at times is manic. Since Parkinson’s any stressful is awful. I listen to music and walk on the treadmill, if i can take my mind of the situation I eventually calm down Denise
