i have the same experience. diagnosed 8 years ago and recently have experienced increased dyskenisia (more head movement and left foot sticking out as a tripping hazard) and dystonia (left foot cramping/curling) when concentrating on singular task requiring finer motor skills.

I have the same experience as Marlyne Wilder, e.g. 10mg gummies, and I live in Illinois as well. Melatonin (12mg) didn’t work as well for me as the gummies do.

I do since about a year ago (diagnosed 6 yrs ago). Dystonia. For me, my left foot cramps up, usually 30 minutes after taking levdopa dose. I started botox shots in my calf and shin to combat it, but this last round hasn’t been as successful in abetting the cramps. I’m told DBS would help this condition. Cramping otherwise is exasperated by dehydration, and I wonder at times, anxiety.

I was diagnosed 6 years ago, and I stopped riding motorcycles about 2 years ago, but still drive. We bought a new car 3 years ago and with all the new whistles and bells offered, such as adjustable cruise control, traffic alerts, auto-stopping etc I don’t feel any concern about being on the road.

Hi Susie,
Like Bonnie I was diagnosed 5+ years ago at 49, and love to ski. I live in Chicago so I don’t get to ski that often but my wife and I try and get up to 5 days/year downhill and nordic (classic) as often as we can. I have recently developed dystonia in my left foot and just got a botox shot. That seems to have helped. I can’t ski as hard as before, tiring out my muscles after 3 hours or so. I also have focused more on blue runs over black/moguls/chutes,… Those 3 hours are great though. I find my boots a bit harder to get into these days and have been eyeing/reading about APEX boots as a possible future upgrade.

Gregg, I’m in conversation with my doctor about DBS and would love to connect to discuss your experience. My issue seems to be dystonia with my left foot cramping/flexing.
