Angels on Call Homecare has received the 2025 Best of Home Care – Leader in Experience Award for their work providing care to people with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

“This award is a powerful reminder of our commitment to revolutionizing the experience of care,” Eric Dalton, vice president of Angels on Call, said in a company press release.

Activated Insights, a software company that supports long-term and post-acute care providers, gives out the honor based on its Experience Management program, which interviews clients and caregivers. The award indicates that Angels on Call is among the top 10% of home care organizations participating in the program.

Parkinson’s symptoms, including difficulty moving and cognitive challenges, may require long-term care at home. Angels on Call services include assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, meal preparation, and medication management. The agency can also provide transportation to and from appointments and other outings.

“This isn’t about checking off a list,” Dalton said. “It’s about truly connecting with individuals, reigniting their passions, and restoring their sense of purpose.”

Certified Parkinson Disease Care accreditation in 2024

In 2024, the home care group received Certified Parkinson Disease Care accreditation, from the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Alliance. The accreditation involves standardized introductory training about Parkinson’s, including treatment and management.

Additionally, the Parkinson’s Foundation recently named the organization a Community Partner in Parkinson’s Care. This recognized that at least 70% of the staff had completed a full curriculum on Parkinson’s based on the most recent information, medications and treatments, care recommendations, and communication between healthcare professionals.

The Best of Home Care Award is “a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Robert Dalton, Angels on Call CEO. “We are excited to continue our journey of providing exceptional care experiences.”

In 12 monthly interviews, clients and caregivers gave Angels on Call high ratings across multiple categories, which included caregiver training and compassion, compatibility between caregivers and clients, and logistical factors like scheduling and communication.

Surveys through the Experience Management program help gauge customer and employee satisfaction, indicating opportunities to improve, according to the program website.

“When we see agencies like Angels on Call Homecare that have so effectively provided outstanding care and employment experiences, we know we’re on the right track,” said Bud Meadows, CEO of Activated Insights.
