Have you tried any alternative treatments?
Posted by Ally on April 10, 2025 at 3:12 pmHave you tried alternative or complementary treatments such as acupuncture, massage, or tai chi?
Did they help with your symptoms or overall well-being?

Blue light therapy helps with my sleep problems. I’ve been doing it an hour a day for about a year. No ill effects that I have noticed.
-
I’ve been thinking about trying that, myself. How long have you been doing blue light therapy?

I think that alternative options are not bad, as long as they have a good effect on the person.

Have a look at zhittya regenerative medicine I have been on a research trial for 2 years and it’s definitely helping me
-
Hi Charles,
What are/were your symptoms and how has zhittya helped?
Thanks

Hi, that’s very interesting You’re in a trial with them. I have been following them for years, but I can’t afford the treatment however a trial would be great. What is the treatment your receiving that’s working? Is it possible to still get involved in this trial?? Are they charging you at all? Please share thank you.!!

Also, sorry to bother you, but I meant to ask you, is the treatment some form of protein and is it administered intranasally? Thank you so much again!

I found that Sativa strain helps and I’ve been able to dramatically reduce my carbodopa/levodopa script for tremors. I find 5-10mg every 4 hrs works for reducing the tremors.

Hi, I just recently retired so I can try CBD and THC but I got my medical marijuana license and tried it and it seems to exacerbate my condition including tremors. I thought that was not the calming CBD? I actually bought some but I’m afraid to use it because I don’t need to be any more anxious. But you say sativa helps you with your tremors? Do you take the gummy’s? How many times do you take it in one day? You said every four hours correct? Thank you so much.
-
Hello, 5-10mg of Sativa doesn’t make you “high” ? If we are talking about the same thing, I was kind of zombie-like and foggy with one dose of an edible gummy. No way I could that every 4 hours and function properly too. Are you speaking of something else other than edibles? Thanks!

Acupuncture helped me relax watching away helped symptoms because tension was a big thing with my symptoms. Other than that, I haven’t tried much other. I try to keep open mind about different methods.
-
I can relate to what you said about tension being a big part of your symptoms, same here. I haven’t tried acupuncture but I’ve noticed that anything that helps me relax, breathing exercises, or even just listening to calming music, can sometimes make a difference. It’s interesting how stress seems to make everything worse. I’m still figuring out what works best, but like you, I try to stay open to different approaches too.

I am just diagnosed last Fall and have been trying a lot of different supplements as well as red light therapy, massage, GLP1, probiotics, and hyperbaric oxygen. I actually just got back from Germany where I had stem cells harvested to start Secretome therapy next month. I also had MRI guided focused ultrasound treatment of my right hand tremor with 90-95% tremor reduction for the last 3 months at Mayo.
So far the MRI guided focused ultrasound did the best. Massage is great! Red light therapy seems to help. GLP 1 has likely helped a lot. Hyperbaric oxygen seems to help especially with stamina when I exercise which I do a lot of.
Secretome seems to be very promising. I have the choice of getting it either IV or intrathecal. I am thinking IV first.
The thing is every case of Parkinsons seems to have its own unique course, so what works for me may not work for others….. I am also well to do enough to try these things. I am happy to report my experiences, but everyone is different and has a different medical history so do your own due diligence before trying anything out much less what a guy is saying on a bulletin board like this. Gives you a lot to talk about with your own doctor though!

Hi. Thank you for sharing your findings, that’s very interesting.

I took a part in a clinical study last year at UCLA. It was Low Intensity Focused Ultrasound that targets an area of the brain responsible for producing tremors. It definitely had a positive effect on my tremors but for a short period of time, a couple of days. Then it went away. This solution doesn’t fry your brain but disrupts tremor controlling mechanism. They said there will be a second phase of this study next year.
I’m saying it because I guess there is always something new being tried out there that you could participate in. Check this site for potential trails, you may get something promising to take a part in. https://www.clinicaltrials.gov
I almost got into this study but apparently I’m not where they want you to be for consideration.
Good luck everyone. Stay positive and don’t lose hope.

A close friend of mine with Parkinson’s tried acupuncture and said it helped ease some of her muscle tension, even if just for a little while. She also does gentle massage regularly, which seems to relax her and improve sleep. Tai chi helped her balance a lot too. She combines these with her meds, and sometimes even looks into options like Get Mounjaro Online for additional support.

We are using Amino Acid Therapy through a naturopathic Dr. It is amazing! It is so sad to read what all of you are going through. We were there 2 1/2 years ago until I did research and found our Dr. Almost all symptoms have been reversed! Drooling, left leg shuffling, blank stares and of course the most common, trembling arm and hand. I’ve written about it many times on this board. We were skeptical, but took the chance. So glad we did. My husband is back to normal, except for a slight tremor now and then when he’s excited about something…working on his car, or crazy traffic. His mind is clear, he’s focused. We exercise regularly, ride e-bikes and motorcycles. His neurologist is amazed. This treatment is 20+ years in the making and participants are all doing well. When people say there is no cure or no remission, I am here to tell you otherwise. Do your homework!! Be your own advocate. Research. There are ways beyond taking the normal medications.

Has anyone else tried Amino Acid Therapy and if so, what were the results?
-
Shaun, when did you start the therapy and what symptoms have improved? Have there been any side effects?
Thanks

I’ve been using mybrainrestorecom it uses the seed from a Chinese fruit, but not well known in the United States Prepared in a way different way And cured 100% of mice with Parkinson’s Alzheimer’s and dementia Now I’m no mouse, but I joined the mice and started taking it in January Went from stage one to stage three And my Alzheimer’s is all but diminished I think it’s extremely rare to find anything that reverses three neurological disease no admittedly the university was trying to figure out how to make it a $10,000 a month product But they were unable to figure out what exactly was workingso I’m thinking why not just take the natural supplement but it just had to be made in a special way and that’s the only place you can get it right now You can download the book by the author if on the website you click FAQ free PDFs. It’s in ebook or PDF. Can’t beat free. How it works is a bit unclear, but the scientist did say when they dissected those mice that all the plaque and tendrils were gone. But it took me six months and I’m not gonna stop taking it just because I got a whole lot better I don’t one to two neurological conditions I had back.
