Marjorie Weiss is a Lutheran pastor from Pennsylvania who has served congregations in upstate New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. She and her husband, David Derr, have two daughters and two grandchildren. In retirement, she wrote the award-winning memoir “Praying on Empty: A Female Pastor’s Story.” She has been a caregiver for David, who has early-onset Parkinson’s disease, for more than 20 years. Knitting, yoga, and flower gardening feed her spirit.
