Dr. Alana Biggers, MD, MPH, FACP is a tenured Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago and a board-certified internist. Her work focuses on advancing health equity through research on chronic disease prevention, mindfulness-based interventions, and digital health innovation. She has led NIH- and foundation-funded research examining stress, sleep, and cancer risk among historically underserved populations. Dr. Biggers brings experience bridging academic medicine, community engagement, and implementation science, with a strong commitment to improving survivorship outcomes and access to care. She also serves in leadership roles focused on advocacy and engagement in medical education and mentorship, and is deeply invested in translating evidence-based interventions into real-world impact for patients, families, and communities.
