Inbrija was recently approved for use here in Spain, but I do not know if it is available in the public health system. I do hope so: I have a terribly dysphoric down when each dose of Sinemet fades, an hour or more before it is time for the next one. I have a neurology appointment on June 9th and may be able to find out.

I too am very affected by temperature changes or any delay in taking my Sinemet, even the wearing off period before the next dose, with shivers and shakes. I live in southern Spain where the temperatures can fluctuate hugely. I have air conditioning units in the most used rooms, with which I can rapidly raise or lower the temperature, a fan heater in the bathroom, and layers of sweaters to adjust as needed.

You say ‘chewing’. You mean, literally, crushing between your molars? Does this make it work faster than just swallowing with water?
How does this affect your eating time-table? -
It is not a higher dose, rather the 42mg presentation of Inbrija contains 33mg of Levodopa. A mite confusing.

I had serious and painful constipation problems, requiring glycerine suppositories, but was then advised to cut way down on meat and to increase fibre and fruit. I found that breakfast of muesli with additional wheat and oat bran and berries, and stewed prunes with every meal and at other intervals – total about 150 grams a day. Wonderful relief, bowel movements about every 24 to 30 hours without strain.
But does anyone know of possible negative effects of large amounts of prunes?
