Parkinson’s changes everything – including family relationships. That’s the subject of a column by Jo Gambosi, whose sister has Parkinson’s. You can listen to the flash briefing of the column here.

How have your family relationships changed since you or your loved one was diagnosed? How has PD drawn you closer to each other – or pushed you apart? Do you have any advice for navigating family relationships well post-diagnosis?

My oldest daughter and her  (our) best friend are now at Disney World for a week.  I have totally confided in them about everything I’m going through and what my future may hold.  Lots of tears and hugs but she now understands and we love each other more than ever.  She doesn’t want to lose me but we’re going to make the most of life together while we can.
