I will be 70 this May, diagnosed 10/2017. I take C/L, 12 pills daily.
My hair started thinning about 25 years ago and I’ve worn a wig since. I keep my natural hair professionally trimmed to 1 1/2 inches. The top and back of my head are so thin it’s embarrassing.
I think other factors began the hair thinning, with Parkinson’s continuing the prob…[Read more] -

I considered DBS and had my MDS send the informational packet (46 pages). After reading it entirely I decided it’s not for me. I may change my mind later.

Suzanne,
Thanks for the information. I’m sure it will help someone!
I also agree the women need something like that. I use Poise liners daily, carry extras wherever I go. -

My husband and I will be spending Christmas with each other this year in Fairview Heights, IL. Two of our children and 7 grandchildren will be celebrating at their homes in NYS; our 3rd child will be in Chicago visiting her husband’s relatives. We will all FaceTime throughout the day.
COVID-19 was not a concern as 2 children, my husband, and I ha…[Read more] -

Maria, many stores such as Amazon and Walmart have them. In the search box type “Parkinson’s button closure”. In fact, if you type in “button assist device” more options are shown.

Thank you for mentioning TMS. I’ll be checking into it. I’ve had depression since the late 1980’s. Meds were changed about 6 times. Now taking 3 antidepressants daily morning, afternoon, and evening.
I’ve been hypnotized for smoking cessation, weight loss, and childhood memory issues. I hadn’t considered hypnosis for depression.
Did your…[Read more] -

I think a bird sanctuary is wonderful. I enjoy watching our birds at the feeder.
Three years ago I bought a new bicycle- plain, not with handle brakes, etc. I would ride up and down my road. Lost control of my balance and rode to my left. Gave away my bicycle. I also used to use an elliptical and treadmill which ate set up in my basement. Had…[Read more] -

I would like to receive some lotions. My skin is getting drier as winter weather approaches. Also foot cream and an “egg” scraper for the rough spots on my feet would be nice. I’d really like a feminine silky nightgown or silky pajamas. Nothing expensive. Just pampering gifts please.

My pet cat, Adam, follows me throughout the house and watches me. This started in earnest about 6 months ago. Our favorite spot is me lounging on the sofa with Adam curled tightly up against me. I’m frequently reaching down to pet him. It’s therapeutic for me and I’m sure he senses my need for him.

In 1974, my husband drove us from Obergimpern, Germany to Rome, Italy for a long weekend. In the Army, my husband only had a 4-day break. One day to drive to Rome, 2 days sightseeing, and 1 day driving back. In 2009, we returned to Germany, staying at Edelweiss Lodge and Resort in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, and my husband surprised me on…[Read more]

I don’t feel stoned using 10 mg THC gummies. I only use the Indica strain that makes me relaxed, mellow, and sleepy. Otherwise I’m very coherent and functioning.
