I recently read an article that talked about kidney toxicity and its potential link to Parkinson’s disease. It basically talked about how the accumulation of pathological a-synuclein can occur in the kidneys, and potentially spread. This is the first time I’ve heard about this theory, but I’m interested to know if any of you have read about it?

I’ve seen some research about this too. Alpha-synuclein, the protein linked to Parkinson’s, has been found in organs like the kidneys. It’s still early research, but scientists are looking into whether this could play a role in how the disease develops or spreads.
