I do not call it my religion, I prefer to call it my faith. The word of God is always good. I have lost interest in many activities due to my limitations with Parkinsons’s. Having a relationship with Jesus and having his spirit dwell in me is my greatest comfort

I am less anxious, I am focused on how my life has been changed by my faith. It strengthens me. I hope by sharing it strengthens others, especially us living with Parkinsons’s.

I gave a lot of credit for my ability to handle stress to my beliefs. Without a strong basis in my church, I don’t think I could handle everything. It has helped my family as well to have a faith that there is someone in charge and that there is a Way out eventually. Also, the people in my church are a great support group and help me in so many different ways. Often just knowing that they care is all I need.
