Thinking about death isn’t something many of us enjoy doing, but it is a reality that ultimately all of us will face. Many people have wills that designate what will happen to their possessions and money after they pass away, but are you familiar with the idea of an ethical will?
An ethical will is a document designed to pass ethical values from one generation to the next. They’ve been popular in the Jewish community for centuries, and in recent years, the practice has been more widely used by the general public. I first became familiar with the term when my mom, a minister, began a personal memoir business when I was in high school.
