    Steve, your story illustrates one of the problems of emerging technology. The truth is not all unapproved treatments are scams but they could be. It’s very hard for the consumer to know what’s legit and what isn’t. I ask providers for their outcome data (if they have any) and make my own judgements as to risk/benefits. I have not tried stem cell therapy though this approach looks to be very promising.

    In low dose amounts (<4.5mg) it is well regarded as an anti inflammatory, immune modulator as well as having other potential benefits. I do not about its antiparkinson effects, however.

    Melatonin and Clonazepam are cited as symptom treatment.  Injury to bed partners is a concern and often drives people to seek help.

    Likely due to REM Behavior Disorder which is thought to be both prodromal to PD as well as symptomatic of PD. Caused by loss of domaminergic cells in the substantia nigra of the brain.
