A recent post told of a remedy they had used for nightmares:  GabaCalm and ?  We are seeing the neurologist today and I wanted to ask him about these two remedies but I can’t find my note on it.  Does anyone remember the other one?

My husband’s wierdest symptom is sweating on his forearms and trunk at certain temperatures–usually around 50 degrees farenheit. When it happens he has had to change shirts 4-5 times a day. They are drenched when he takes them off.

My husband who is stage 1-2 struggles with profuse sweating of his trunk, shoulders and inner arms.  This usually happens when the temperature is in the 50’s or when he is in a cold air conditioned room.  While he is sweating he is chilled and can’t get warm.  He often has to change shirts two or three times a day.  Does anyone else have this?  Has anyone found a way to stop/treat it?

Right now this is my husband’s worst symptoms.  Most nights he wakes yelling or striking out at some danger.  Of course, this disturbs both of our sleeping.  He started taking Mannitol (as seen on this site) and has had relief from the extreme fatigue but the nightmares continue.  He has also said that Mannitol makes his stomach feel “funny” like he is on the verge of diarrhea.  Has anyone else experienced this stomach problem?

  • I was unable to find the kitchen alchemy Mannitol on Amazon. Does anyone have any experience with another brand?

My husband was recently diagnosed and he had a very severe case of Lyme Disease back in 2012.  We have heard that Lyme can become chronic (though there is great controversy about this) and can “masquerade” as other things like Parkinson’s so we are looking into that.  He also flew a spray plane for several years and was exposed to various herbicides.  So we are wondering about that.
