Hi, I recently was diagnosed with PD three months ago. It took two years and several Dr’s to get the final diagnosis. I’m in late 50’s and in very good shape for my age. I think that was part of the delayed diagnosis. Right now i’m not taking any meds but have tried Crexont, immediate release Levadopa, and propranolol. None of them have worked on the tremor and currently that is the most significant symptom to date. My symptoms are too “mild” for Focused Ultrasound or DBS. The Clinic / Dr that I’m seeing now doesn’t have any other suggestions.

At this point, I’m trying to find out if their are alternate therapies or meds that have been used to help with this. Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Man, sounds super frustrating. My uncle went through a similar thing—fit as hell, but the tremor gave it away eventually. Meds didn’t help him much either till he started exploring alternatives. He ended up getting something through a Canada Pharmacy Partner after chatting with another patient online. Might be worth a shot to look into lesser-known options.

I was able to substantially reduce my use of carbidopa/levodopa by adding 5-10mg Sativa gummies every 4 hrs. Worst case is it doesn’t work and you get a buzz. But I found it very successful for me. My neurologist is tracking my progress because he hasn’t seen this level of success before.
