    Hi,

I am new to this site, so I am not quite sure what internal search engine is being used and how to configure it.

So, for now I prefer to use the more familiar to me and powerful external Google engine, which is pretty well documented in terms of configuration as well as very powerful, to search over the forums at this site in the following way.

Now, say you want to find articles related to the “off” periods of the PD meds.

    1. Go to Google Search
    https://www.google.com/

    2. Define a parameterized Google Search over the forums subsite here (site:parkinsonsnewstoday.com/forums/), followed by the terms to be searched for (“off” “periods”).

To do that, fill in the Google search box the following:

    site:parkinsonsnewstoday.com/forums/ off symptoms
    or
    site:parkinsonsnewstoday.com/forums/ “off symptoms”
    or just
    site:parkinsonsnewstoday.com/forums/ off

    3. Click the Google Search button.

    Voila.

It seems to me one gets less crowded results pages. At least.

    Hi Jerry,

Thank you for your topic. That’s a great idea.

There is also a “search forums” window on the right side of our pages where you can look for topics. But I find your idea to be less noisy, too.
