Parkinsons disease comes with a lot of different struggles. My Dad has been married to my Mom for over thirty years, and they’ve had to learn how to manage obstacles like nightmares and aggressive thrashing. My Mom is continuously learning when to step in to help my Dad and when she should let him complete a task himself. How has Parkinson’s disease impacted your relationship with your partner? Has it changed?

It has been tough. My wife struggles depression and can not get motivated. She’ irritable most of the time and rarely even smiles. Its tough to even get her to leave the house at times. We have been married 30 years. She does see a therapist and is on Zoloft but I think she needs more. I am pursuing other avenues.
