  Has anyone tried a speech recognition software to help with typing on computer?

  My typing skills are not the best anymore and I have heard there are various software solutions that allow one  to translate speech to typewritten word.  I am Windows based and hesitant to try anything like this , since I feel it will just add a layer of complication to my life that may cause additional stress in trying to install the software.   Can anyone recommend a software solution for speech recognition?
