Freezing and walking issues
Hi, I recently read this article on Parkinson’s news today and wanted to know if someone knows something about this nushu and if your experience was good or bad. Apparently it helps with freezing but I would like to know someone’s opinion before making a decision. Thank you

I am also interested in this product as FOG is my PD issue. The price range is $1295. to $2095. I am sure no insurance will cover these at this time. I have sent the company a question regarding refunds if shoes do not work as expected.

Aurora, without being too brief, I would get the shoes as quickly as you can. I heard about them before they became available in the US. I finally got a pair in January 2024 and have found them to be life-changing. My problem is with freezing when I try to start walking (Once I am moving, I am fine.) The shoes have almost completely eliminated the issue. So far, I have only scratched the surface of their capabilities, once the Android version of the software is available, I should be able to fully use their capabilities.

My husband bought them in Europe last year. He’s 62 yrs old, had PD for 30+ years.
The company Magnes is amazing, as are the people, but the shoes did not help him with his falls. We had hoped they may, but the shoes are a walking aid, not a falls prevention aid. Whilst his walking is pretty much normal, apart from some cadence, he is able to walk and jog no problem. So his problem has always been when he is stopped and it certainly was worth buying the shoes to see if there was some change for him.
We tried for a month, but the festering from stopped or turning, or when his attention is somewhere else apart from walking did not improve at all. He was still going down 10-20 times a day. Unfortunately the shoes just did not help him at all. They are very comfortable and stylish also.
So pleased they have worked for many of the people that use them.
