Going “stir crazy” can happen when you find yourself spending more time than you would like indoors and/or alone. This often happens to people with chronic illnesses like Parkinson’s because of mobility/accessibility issues, and it can be an even bigger challenge in the winter when getting outside isn’t as easy to do as it is in warmer weather.

Do you ever find yourself going stir crazy? Is it worse for you during certain times of the year? How do you keep yourself entertained and connected when your ability to get out and about is limited?

I like ‘hibernating’ in the winter; not a big fan of the cold as it exacerbates my symptoms.  I am good at keeping myself busy, either going to my onsite gym, practicing my ukulele, writing or doing my graphic arts work.
