I had DBS surgery in November of 2024. My dyskinesia is almost totally gone. My anxiety is almost gone. What did not improve was my voice is now much softer and occasionally slurred. I am going to see a speech therapist soon. I also have seen an increase in freezing of my gait. It doesn’t occur all the time but I sometimes feel like I can’t pick up my feet or do rapid steps at exercise class. I hope the benefits last and I can overcome the speech and gait issues.
