MARIA BACIGALUPE replied to the topic The power of gratitude in the forum Living With Parkinson's Disease 4 months ago

I am not a person with PD but a persona who works with people with PD (PPD) and relatives, and the gratitude I have to PPD and their relatives is infinite, I have no words to say thanks to them. Without them my life would’t have sense.

We’ve conducted a Parkinson’s Workshop since 2002, so this year is our 20th anniversary!

    Pandemia times have…[Read more]

Here in La Plata, near Buenos Aires, Argentina, the political-sanitary measures continue to be really restrictive so we can’t develop our “normal” activities.

We used to conduct a group of Parkinson people and now we are struggling to do something by internet. It’s difficult because not every people have good connectivity. What is worst, no…[Read more]

Hi everyone! What are you doing? Here in Argentina we are each one at home on quarantine.

As you can remember I belong to a Parkinson’s Workshop and we are really concerned about people with chronic diseases like PD. Any suggestions are welcome to help people here!

    Regards to all of you!

We have a Parkinson´s workshop in which we practice dance and exercise (sport games) to keep movement function as much as possible. You know, dance is the best! and not only tango but any rhythm that makes you feel happy and invites you to move your foot. Thank you for your welcome again! I will try to participate in the forums as soon as I can read them

maria, i love the hummingbird photo! i believe dance and exercise are our best weapons to fight this disease. i used to be a dancer and a cyclist which i think at times it is a blessing and a curse, a blessing since it probably has slowed my PD progression. and a curse since i realize how much i have lost..
