Parkinson’s Medicines and Humor
I’ve had the pre-motor symptoms (e.g., RBD, etc.) for years now. For the longest time, I didn’t laugh or even smile when I watched something that my wife found hilarious. Just sort of a bland unchanging expression. I’ve been on Carbidopa/Levodopa for a little over a month now, and suddenly, I find things funny again. I would have liked to have gone on the Parkinson’s meds a long time ago if I would have know how it has increased my happiness and ability to find humor again. Has anyone else had the same experience?
