    Impulse control disorders are characterized by the inability to resist impulses or to control specific behaviors. These include compulsive gambling, shopping, eating, and sexual behaviors, which can lead to serious financial, legal, or social problems, and, according to new research, more than half of Parkinson’s patients who have been treated with a dopamine agonist may develop impulse control disorders over time.
