How do you like to spend time with your family?
In Ontario, where I live, we just celebrated Family Day, which is a holiday intended to create time for folks to spend time with their families. It’s one of my favorite holidays because there aren’t any expectations around gift-giving or big meals – you’re just supposed to spend quality time with loved ones.
Do you celebrate Family Day where you live? Whether you do or not, what are some of your favorite ways to spend time with your family?

In fact, I don’t spend time with my family as often as I would like, but when I do, we always go out and do different activities.

In fact, the best pastime is to go for a walk with our dog, it’s one of our favorite things to do, we can spend all day together

I love Family Day! In Ontario, it’s a cherished time to bond without the usual holiday fuss. We enjoy activities like hiking, doing sports ( recently I have read some info here and we all together tried to do this, was so funny to see my parents holding their stomach) or cooking together, making memories without stress. Whether it’s Family Day or any day, these moments are priceless.

So great to hear from a fellow Ontarian, Kenneth! And I share your love for Family Day, too. Sometimes I think western / North American culture puts too much emphasis on work and “the grind”. It’s refreshing to have a day dedicated to family time in the midst of all that pressure. 🙂

I love spending time with my family by having cozy game nights or going for walks together. We don’t celebrate Family Day where I live, but I enjoy the idea of it! Recently, we used MyHeritage to create a family tree, which was such a fun and meaningful activity.

I usually enjoy simple things with my family like playing games, watching movies, or just having a long chat over coffee. It’s nice to just relax and enjoy each other’s company.
