• Have you experience hallucinations?

My Dad recently told me that he’s worried about experiencing hallucinations in the future. Many people who struggle with Parkinson’s report having mild or even extreme hallucinations. Are you someone who has experienced this symptom? Do you think it could be related to medication or directly to Parkinson’s? If you’ve experienced hallucinations, do you have any tips or tricks revolving around the management of them?

Visual hallucinations, no.  Tactile hallucinations, yes (formication), around face and neck, particularly bothersome when trying to go to sleep.  While asleep, 20 to to 35 times a night I will by scratching and rubbing the creepy crawlies (with a Wyze cam triggered by movement or sound, I capture my RBD episodes as a way to quantify results from meds).

When did you first notice these tactile sensations?
