Day 21 of #30DaysOfPD: 10 Things Living With Parkinson’s for 10 Years Has Taught Me
Cathy Chiaramonte knows a thing or two about Parkinson’s. She was diagnosed ten years ago. Overnight, her plans for the future shifted dramatically. She began a painful process of self-education, mourning, and gradual acceptance that continues today.
She credits much of her learning to other Parkinson’s patients. Cathy knows to never underestimate the impact of simple kindness. She strongly believes that a face doesn’t indicate a blank mind. She is very aware of the courage needed to get up each day knowing that you are fighting a war that you can never win. Her list goes on and on.
Cathy, thank you so much for sharing those life-lessons with us!
