Hello. I was a Young Onset PWP, diagnosed in my late 40’s, approximately 20 years ago. I underwent DBS surgery in 2016, which has changed my symptom control until I don’t even feel that I have PD on many days. I have become an advocate, learning constantly about PD, which fascinates me with its numerous possibilities, a support group leader, the president of the local PD Assn, and continue to create awareness of PD through lectures (Zoom), news articles, social media etc.
