This is Patrick Pelkey’s story.
Patrick first heard about woodcarving while participating in a Parkinson’s support group. This sparked a passion in him, and he is grateful for the community that he found in PD groups. He’s also gotten into advocacy and took part in numerous fundraising events.
Here’s an excerpt, “I tell people not to feel sorry for me, as I’m controlling my disease well with lots of meds and doing things now that I never would have done if it weren’t for Parkinson’s.”
