Short Bio |
I was diagnosed with PD in 2018, when I was 67 years old. For me it is a disease of the extremities, affecting my feet, hands and tongue; My feet often freeze when I try to initiate movement, leading to many falls (I fell 33 times over a 3o day period). So far, I have not seriously injured myself but as my wife frequently says. “that only works until it doesn’t. At one time I illustrated botanical prints, I can hardly sign my own name today and after spending a career as a historical interpreter at Colonial Williamsburg,my speech has have become very difficult to understand, to the point that I avoid talking with strangers..
