I am the health care proxy for my parents. I am retired, so I do have time to devote to help caring for them. My mother has macular degeneration, and has extreme difficulty seeing, so she can no longer drive. I have become chauffeur to the various medical appointments, etc. Neither of my parents are physically active, something that is very puzzling and frustrating, since they were both avid golfers and took daily walks prior to the decline in Dad’s health due to PD.
