Muscle aches, joint pain, spasms and cramps, neuropathy, sciatica, headaches and migraines, and that all-encompassing every cell in your body is aching kind of pain. We can have some or all of this at varying levels every day.

I was still working then so was busy with housework when I started drooling…in the daytime, when I was wide awake. I froze and started thinking what causes that. Somewhere in the back of my mind was that little nugget of info- Parkinson’s. My reaction was a great, big “Oh crud!”

I have become very adept at pivoting. If I’m tired, my symptoms are more pronounced than usual or I’m feeling stuck, I’ll pivot, put off big things and focus on smaller goals like short bursts of exercise throughout the day or cleaning out a drawer. Even something silly like a Godzilla movie marathon while I work on some knitting helps. After a few days I feel better, pivot again, and tackle the big stuff.
