69 year old woman diagnosed with vascular dementia. Exhibiting signs of Parkinson’s and neurologist says I may be starting down this new path. No one will confirm it yet. Had sleep testing for REM issues which didn’t happen during test. Balance problems and falling. General weakness on left side. Gait issues where I will head to the left when walking I g straight. Visual unsteadiness when I turn my head while walking and walk like I’m drunk when this happens. Walk speed is slower as I monitor my walking for safety issues. Told I just have to watch and wait to see if it gets worse before being diagnosed with PD or Lewy body. Yet they won’t rule out either. Is this normal?
