Biography

I’m 60 years old, married 33 years, have a wonderful husband Tommy, and two son’s who are my life, Nicholas 30, and Alexander 26. I was diagnosed with PD when I was 49, and onset started about 2 years before as far as I could determine. My major issue has been my balance, and  on July 12, 2916 I had DBS surgery, it has helped and on September 24, 2016 I was able to walk alone for my son Nicholas’ wedding and onto the dance floor for our dance. DBS has helped, with issues, everything has a trade off, my meds for PD are now the DBS,  Rytary, Neupro patch and Azilect. I have a great support group helping me always, my husband, sister and mom being the primary, followed by my son’s, friends and family, I’m very lucky and grateful to have them.
