I have spent most of my life rearing a large family. My husband was very active, but Parkinson’s has confined him to a wheelchair. My life has contracted to remaining within earshot of his increasingly quiet voice. Much of the time, he is unable to perform even ADLs. We are in the process of applying for caregiver support from the VA. I find much consolation from reading this forum and the one for patients.
