Biography

I am a 70 y/o retired lady.  I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s just before Christmas 2023 but, having learned much more about symptoms since then, I realize that I have probably had PD for at least 10 years.  In 2021 and 2023 I went through very stressful moves and it was after that that I began to notice symptoms like tremor.  I have had REM disorder symptoms for much longer than that.  I finally started Carbidopa-Levodopa three months after my diagnosis and have seen some symptom relief.  So far, no real non-motor symptoms other than the REM disorder during sleep.  Some weight loss though, about 10 pounds over a period of several months (before the diagnosis).
