Been caretaking my husband since I’m his diagnosis He had a heart attack 2 weeks after diagnosis. He really struggles mentally with, irrational thoughts, can’t focus, isolating, severe depression and anxiety. If it were only the physical aspect of Parkinson’s it would be so much easier for me to handle. Every day is an extreme challenge with his mental issues. I’ve not found a way yet to get breaks. He doesn’t understand that I need breaks and adamantly thinks he doesn’t need a “babysitter “
