Short Bio | Diagnosed in 2014 by a private Neurologist who referred me to the Veterans Administration (VA). The VA determined that my Parkinson’s came from extended exposure to Agent Orange, a Herbicide used in Viet Nam extensively to de-foliate the Jungle and Forests. I am married, have three grown children, two of which are biological, and one adopted son from my ex-wife’s previous marriage. I was a Navy Hospital Corpsman assigned to the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, Da Nang, RSV. I returned to private life after 5years, started working at the Sierra Vista Community Hospital as a x-ray and lab technician. I moved to California and started my career in Corrections by working at San Quentin State Prison, Tamal, CA. I was accepted and went to Physician’s Assistant School at the Federal Medical Center for Federal Inmates in Springfield, MO. Upon completing the wo year program, I remained working in the Federal Prison System, Department of Justice for 24 and half years, retiring in 1999 as Health Administrator at a Federal Correctional Institution, and Regional Health Administrator for the Southeast Region of the Bureau of Prisons. I am 100% disabled through the VA for PTSD, Delayed Combat, and in 2015, My Parkinson’s was added to my disability rating. |
