Biography

I was diagnosed in June of’18. Began going to Rock Steady in September of ‘18. My elderly mother fell in June of’18. That began her serious decline. My husband and I were her primary caregivers until she died in Dec of ‘21. My darling husband attended Rock Steady with me and helped me with Mom. In ‘20 she got Covid from one of the caregivers we hired. We moved in with her and of course we got it too. Eventually we got caregivers back to help us. I was and an, still working.  Oct of ‘21 we moved her to a nursing home. Dementia had taken her. In Nov of ‘21 my darling husband had a health crisis and left us late that month. My Mom passed on Dec of’21. Life goes on. I’ve had back surgery. I still work. Neither of our kids and their families live near. I’m blessed to have a great job. I still go to Rock Steady twice a week. Fabulous friends give me strength and joy. I believe that God has a plan. Parkinson’s sucks.
