Short Bio

I was diagnosed in 2012 at age 52 with idiopathic PD.  My genetic profile shows no tendencies towards PD, but environmental influences such as exposure to certain chemicals and concussions may have contributed.  I have now progressed in my symptoms that more than conventional CL therapy was needed.  I am currently on Duopa which uses a pump to deliver CL directly to the intestines bypassing the stomach.  It does reduce the off time, but having a brick sized pump connected to you 14 hours per day has its challenges.  The best therapy is definitely exercise.  I ride my spin bike at least 20 minutes 5 times a week, play pickleball for an hour 3 times a week and lift weights to maintain strength.
