Hi Jean and Connie;
It’s almost 1:30am where I am. Haven’t started any PD meds yet as I’ve been on meds for my arthritis since it retired me in 2004, hiding this diagnosis I think. Been through many scans lately and will see a cardiology next month for my tachycardia, which I’ve had since childhood. Worked in automotive 20 years so avoided a…[Read more]

I miss being able to get in my car and go get groceries and supplies. Not on medications yet, live alone, so had to call my ex husband to drive me to appointments and to the store. My legs aren’t working long enough now, so am making a list and giving him a check from my checkbook this time. My vision, legs and hands aren’t working together enough…[Read more]

Still have to see a Cardiologist next month before I can start treatment other than in home PT but my legs don’t work many steps before freezing. So my doc already ordered a walker with a seat which has a…[Read more]

As it is with PD, there isnt any one answer that applies to all or doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason as to what may be working or not, but, I did have a stablization so to speak once I started…[Read more]

Thank you Jean. I’ve read your blog and left a short comment. My daughter in law came and mopped my house today, God bless her. I’m very grateful that she and my son live next door. He took me for my carotid surgery back in September, saw me do the therapy after, so thinks I should be well now. We’ve always been very close so he’s very much in…[Read more]

Thank you for reading my blog. That is wonderful that your son and daughter in law live so close to you and keep an eye out for you. I have found that most people do not understand how PD affects our bodies and many think we are okay and we are not. That is one of the more difficult aspects of dealing with this disease. Sometimes I feel so…[Read more]

I agree. We look the same, pretty much, so nobody quite understands. It’s time for me to accept that this is my new normal, get back in my car, and go get food back in here today! This IS a better day today so I can do this. Small quantity. 😉
