I store all my meds in a medicine cabinet in the master bathroom.  Once a week I use those to fill 4 medicine organizers for the week to come; one with meds without food (Synthroid & Ritery), then morning meds with food at least an hour later, third on is noon  & 4PM (2 more Ritery  & others for high blood pressure, and the 4th with the 4th Ritery at bed time.

  • DBS allows me to walk again.  I now have 3 leads in my brain.  The first 2 allow me to stand with balance and I can walk again.  They also control the termers in my left hand.   The third lead was added which helps the right hand.  The plus is more control on my right side, the negative is no MRI as that would fry my brain like a miocrowave.

I started having problems about a year after PD diagnosis.  Depends has really helped.  For meds, I take  Gemtesa at night for bladder control and for high bp and kidney  I take Lasix in the morning.  The result is I lose ground until noon, change to a new pair of depends and I’m mostly dry until the next morning when I take Lasx.

About 8 years ago I started to have ED problems and several things the urologist tried did not work until he gave an implant that I pump up an erection and keep it up as long as we want – hours/days. Unfortunately, about the time I got PD, my wife came down with breast cancer.  After many infections and 6 surgeries she ended with painful scars and that ended the sex.

Two years ago, I decided to stop driving. It used to be about 90% of the driving for our family including road trips hauling a trailer. When we had to shut down the business because of my PD was when I also stopped driving. My wife does all the driving now and it limits what I can do like shopping for birthdays, etc.; but it is safer this way.

My first operation was Dec 2019. I with help from my doctor (programming) I have regained much and can walk again. However, it could not get rid of hand termers, so another operation put a third Lead in my brain. It really helped. I have a great doctor here in Fort Worth Tx If you are interested, you will need to pass two tests for dementia, etc. first. Note, almost everyone needs 2 leads and not 3 like me.
