    Hi Jeanne H,
I read your post and really felt for you. I was diagnosed almost 5 years ago and knew NOTHING about PD. No history in my family and only know of one other person with it. To top that off, I’ve been healthy all my life and am not used to tests and doctors. I felt scared, angry and so alone. I too have had so much trouble adjusting to it. I’ve seen 3 different neurologists and 2 different PCP’s sometimes getting conflicting info from all of them. Other issues have popped up that they all said are not related to PD…. so more pills, without a diagnosis and sent me on my way. How can you prescribe something without finding out what it is. When I was a child, I remember having so much faith in the medical profession because my mother was a nurse. I feel she would be appalled if she were alive today. What has finally help me to calm down is reading everyone’s posts on this page. I’m learning so much about symptoms, meds, supplements and how everyone is coping. It seems that PD can be controlled and I never knew that. So hang in there, try to think of the positive and laugh a lot… it’s good for the brain.
    Judy
