- Short Bio
I am 56 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband since 2015. He was born in 1957. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, although we belive that the symptoms started many years prior. He was raised in a rural area of Ohio around many pesticides. While I don’t yet need to be a caregiver, I do see his symptoms progressing and it is scary. He doesn’t have tremors, however, mostly it is stiffness, balance and slowness. It can be unsettling because he also seems to have outbursts of frustration and anger sometimes that are directed at me. It is hard not to take it personally and react back. I hope to find support here from others who are also in the beginning stages of living with a PD partner.
