  • We all have busy lives with doctors appointments, taking care of children, some of us still work and earn income for our families. I know I am guilty of not taking care of my mental health. As I get older I have more responsibilities that are put onto my plate and I forget to listen to music, enjoy my food, or even have a friendly conversation. I…[Read more]

Our journey began roughly a year ago. I was in a position where I had just gotten a second job and I was starting to get everything set for a routine and schedule. Daisy was 1 and she was experiencing pain after long walks and intense playing with other dogs and people. We gave her supplements to help with the pain but it was just masking it and…[Read more]

    Hi,
Yes I am certainly interested in the use of medical cannabis for PD. I would love to hear other’s opinions and stories of their success. First was RSO and now it has evolved into something better KHO and is reaching different areas in the medical field. Is it true that in Canada there is a shortage of marijuana? My dog’s name is Daisy she is…[Read more]

That’s very interesting that your dog uses tinctures! I feel like the possibilities for medicinal marijuana are really endless at this point. I don’t believe there is a shortage of marijuana in Canada but I have a friend who is opening one of the first retail stores in Ontario and I believe their supply is coming from the States, not sure if…[Read more]

Hello Ally good morning. It is nice to talk to you and thank you for sending me a warm welcome. I found the forum through a facebook group and they spoke highly of this forum saying that it is a safe place to ask questions and share experiences from PD. I really want to learn as much as I can about this disease. What foods are better to eat, which…[Read more]

      Thanks for writing back, Boswell.

I can see from some of your comments that you’re very interested in and knowledgeable about cannabis for PD. That’s a really interesting topic. We just legalized marijuana for recreational use in Canada (it’s been legal for medicinal purposes for awhile) so it’s certainly a hot topic for many people from…[Read more]

  • Hi Jean and good morning. I hope you had a nice weekend! I was busy with work and needed to catch up on some sleep. So CBD is a cannabinoid that is found in cannabis. Cannabis is hemp or marijuana. You can extract CBD and isolate the compound which a lot of companies are choosing to do so. However, I think that if you only use part of the plant…[Read more]

  • So I think that a sativa strain is what will help with movement and mobility. The Uplift tincture that I use is great for fatigue and improve motor skills. Sativa is an energy inhibitor. Using this with CBD has been the best combination.

  • Hello,

I have tried medical cannabis and it has helped manage the dyskinesia as well as my appetite and my pain levels are lowered because of this wonderful medicine. From what I have gathered from my use of medical cannabis is that THC is a very important component in managing Parkinson’s as it activates CB1 and CB2 receptors which affect the…[Read more]
