  • Why are doorways harder than walking outside?

Something I’ve started noticing seems almost ridiculous until it happens: walking across an open space can be relatively easy, but reaching a doorway sometimes makes my feet hesitate as though the floor suddenly changed. Once I’m through it, walking becomes easier again. It’s especially noticeable when I’m tired or trying to move quickly. Has anyone else found that very specific places or visual situations make movement noticeably harder? Have you discovered any little cues that help you get past that hesitation?
