Since you were diagnosed with PD, have you traveled alone?
Having traveled solo a lot for my career, I did not think PD would impact my ability to continue to travel alone since I am still independent and mobile Although travelling after 9/11 has never been a pleasurable experience, having PD does present additional challenges. I have TSA Pre-Check to get me through security quickly without taking off my shoes and try to purchase “coach+” seating for additional comfort while flying. I also choose an aisle seat for easy access to the rest room. However, I am not so sure I want to plan anymore trips due to the stress and impatient crowds of people. My slowness of movement certainly does not enhance my travel experience.
Do you have any suggestions for travelling alone that help make your journey a more positive experience?
