    Yes I have heard of it and I would certainly try it out of it was possible. But I have the older kind of DBS in which each of the 2 wires implanted to stimulate opposite sides of the brain has 4 electrodes about a millimeter apart. My understanding is that the new system has 8 and has a neural feedback mechanism that modulates the stimulation according to demand.

      Hi Richard,

      Thanks for your feedback.  Hopefully the longer term trials will be coming soon.  It seems like there are a lot of potential therapies for PD patients, but, being the impatient person I am, they are taking too long to come to fruition 🙂
