I once had a zoom meeting with a famous neurologist. He asked me if I take a multivitamin. I didn’t. He said I should to prevent neuropathy. What pains I had in my feet eventually subsided. it was good advice

I have read that hammer toes are especially common with folks like me who have Parkinson’s. I keep on being surprised at how many of Parkinson’s symptoms are more common for people with Parkinson’s. Like cavities, swollen legs, skin cancer…

The middle toe on my right foot is a hammertoe. I have seen three different podiatrists for this over a number of years, but I have not found total relief for the on and off pain I have in that toe. I don’t want the surgery that can be done because i think my PD is playing a part in this, and I don’t think the surgery would be successful. One podiatrist recommended Feltastic Hammer Toe Crests by Pedifix, and I do use one of these daily. If necessary I tear apart a cotton ball and use it to relieve whatever pain I still have. I also only wear sandals – all year round. In the winter I buy my size in a wide and wear heavy socks with the sandals. I use the same brand and style because they are the only ones that are really comfortable for me. In my case that is Earth Sandals, Skylark. I also moisturize my feet every night. I get caliuses on that toe, and I have had them crack and bleed – that really hurt!
