Bedside manner is defined as a doctor’s approach or attitude toward his or her patient. Some doctors have a great bedside manner and can make you feel valued, listened to and not rushed through your appointments. Other doctors don’t quite have the same touch.

What has your own experience with doctors been like? Do the doctors, nurses and specialists you work with have a good bedside manner? Is there anything you would like them to do differently?

After much trial and error, I have found a neuro that I like.  HE is very patient and very receptive to my ideas.  For the most part, I decide how I will treat my PD (including meds).  Of course I run any changes by my neuro for his concurence.  I do wish I could get quicker answers to my questions when I phone in. Sometimes it can take a few days.
